New Beginnings

Well this year is almost gone. Soon we will be welcoming in a new one. I managed to get my book Rambling published just before the Holiday and hope to finish up a western that I am working on by spring. As with every change of the calendar it is a time to reflect on what has gone before and what lies ahead. Here is hoping that what ever comes our way it will inspire us to reach even higher than we have before.

Next Wednesday December 15th I will be on blogtalkradio with my publisher Rebecca Buckley. it is her show and we will be talking about my new book "Rambling" which launches the print edition the same day. The Kindle Edition should be available this weekend.

Internet Launch event.

R. J. Buckley Publishing will be holding an internet launch for Rambling on her internet radio show Talk About Books with Rebecca Buckley Tune in on December 15th at 5:00 pm Mountain Time.

Since my schedule is so unpredictable the publish has planned an online event on the Dec 15th the release date for Rambling. When I have more concrete information I will post it here.

Count down has started.

It is just 17 days till the release of Rambling a collection of my short stories. Release date is Dec 15th from R.J. Buckley Publishing. Here is the link to more information on it Rambling by Edd Voss

Getting closer.

"Rambling" has gone through the first round of editing and is moving closer to publication. I have also had the first interview for it also.

The Hard Part.

Now comes the hardest part of writing, the time between the submission of the completed work and the actual publication. Everything has been submitted to the publisher and I have been putting out feelers for some possible exposure in a couple of magazines. The front cover has been designed and here it is.

The photo for the back cover has been selected and is in the design stage now. This is the photo that we chose. Thanks to my wife Polly for taking it.

Final stages.

Rambling is now in the final stages before publication. The last two stories are finished and formatted, just waiting for the final word from the people I have asked to look them over.
The first new story is Dreaming of a Warm Place and tells the story of a young man stuck in western Wyoming during a particularly cold night tending a flock of sheep.
Second is Tyler's Courage a fictional story written for a very special young man who recently went through a very unusual surgery. This adventure takes him and his uncle on a fishing trip high up in the mountains of Montana.

One more finished.

Well after finishing the first of two new short stories entitled "Dreaming of a Warm Place" which is the tale of a sheep herder lost in Western Wyoming and entrusted with the care of a herd of sheep during a particularly cold night. It is close to the story behind the origin of Little America hotel in Wyoming. Located 20 + miles west of Green River Wyoming is a beautiful oasis just made for the traveling public. Good Food comfortable rooms and plenty of parking for everyone Little America is an enjoyable place in the Summer and a haven from the storms of a Wyoming winter when needed. It will be part of my new book "Rambling" due out in time for Christmas.

More short stories

My publisher asked for two more short stories for the up coming book Ramblings so I have been doing some research for them and have been learning quite a bit.

This is a video of an idea that I have been thinking about for quite a while.

Well the final cover for Rambling is in the works but I need to get two more stories done for the publisher before it is a finished product. When I get closer to the finish I will update the video promotion piece too.
